General English language courses at International House New York focus on learning through communication and practicing real-life English both in and out of the classroom. It believes in an integrated approach to language learning, incorporating speaking, writing, reading, listening, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary into every lesson with particular emphasis on practicing language in depth through conversation.

Communication is the key to learning and using English well. Therefore, classes focus strongly on developing students' communication skills in all areas and learn useful English.

Fun and practical usage are also highly important, which is why the 20-lesson-a-week program includes a daily elective classes focusing on English in New York, whether this involves learning English through studying current news items, the history of New York or through Broadway Theater. Students choose to study with IH New York because they want to learn English and have a great New York experience. And with the New York elective classes we bring this experience alive by bringing New York into the classroom!

For students who want to supplement their English Language Studies with private tuition to accelerate their progress, IH offers also offer Private One-to-One Classes. You can choose to study privately with an experienced and highly qualified teacher for as few or as many hours as you need.

Summer Language Programs available for students aged 12 to 17, providing supervised, residential language-study packages for young adults looking to learn English and experience New York.

The ETLS Intensive English Program will help you significantly improve your English skills, achieve greater fluency and fully prepare you for university study in the USA. At English Time Language School (ETLS) , a world-renowned, 6-levels interactive education model is applied. The Intensive English Program offers the student instruction from beginner to advanced level. A placement test is applied to our newly registered students, or those who have had an extended break from their studies ETLS; in order for them to receive an effective education and to be placed at a suitable level.

28 Hours per week (7 Hours per day)

Class Days: Monday through Thursday, 9:00AM – 4:50PM (1Hour for Lunch)

Course Length: 4- 48 Weeks

Maximum class size: 15 students

Part -Time Intensive English Language Programs

English Time Language School offers Part-Time Program for local people and tourist. This program is specially prepared for short term visitors who want to learn and practice English during their holiday. At English Time Language School (ETLS) , a world-renowned, 6-levels interactive education model is applied. The Part-time Program is for students from beginner to the advanced level. A placement test is applied to our students who are newly registered, or had an extended break from their studies ETLS; in order for them to receive an effective education and to be placed at a suitable level.

16 Hours per week (4 Hours per day)

Class Days: Monday through Thursday, 9:00AM – 1:50PM (1Hour for Lunch)

Course Length: 4- 24 Weeks

Maximum class size: 15 students

Semi – Intensive English Language Programs.

The ETLS Semi-Intensive Program is ideal for students who want to learn English while also having time to visit local cities and attractions. Semi-Intensive English Program offers the student 6 levels from beginner to the advanced level. A placement test is applied to our students who are newly registered, or had an extended break from their studies ETLS; in order for them to receive an effective education and to be placed at a suitable level.

20 Hours per week (5 Hours per day)

Class Days: Monday through Thursday, 9:00AM – 2:50PM (1Hour for Lunch)

Course Length: 4- 48 Weeks

Maximum class size: 15 students

English Summer Camp Programs.

Summer camp is ideal for students who want to learn English during their summer holiday. Students will have an opportunity to encounter American culture and life style during their visit. It’s fun and educational. The Las Vegas Summer Camp Program has trips to Los Angeles and San Diego.
